August 2010: WorldStrides’ University Division Becomes the First Accredited Organization
of Its Kind
Charlottesville, VA , August 30, 2010 – The WorldStrides University Division, Accent Travel Group and TravelMBA, is pleased to announce its recent accreditation through AdvancED, the world’s largest education community. This milestone marks the first accreditation of an organization focused on university-level international immersion experiences. With this accreditation, WorldStrides joins a support network of 27,000 organizations accredited through AdvancED, including schools and districts within the United States and across 65 countries.

December 2009: Accent Travel Group is pleased to announce its merger with TravelMBA
Bala Cynwyd, PA, December 15, 2009 – TravelMBA, a leading supplier of travel and logistics services supporting MBA and Executive MBA global curricula was founded 10 years ago. It serves more than a dozen universities primarily from top-30 MBA and EMBA programs. Nearly half of TravelMBA’s current client schools are also clients of Accent Travel Group.


May 2009: Accent Responds to the Challenge of H1N1

December 2008: Accent Re-routes Thailand-bound Program Due to Airport Closure
Bala Cynwyd, PA, December 11, 2008 – Two weeks ago, protestors took over the Bangkok International Airport, leading to its abrupt closure. These events caused one of Accent’s EMBA programs, scheduled to visit Bangkok in late November, to quickly implement alternative plans. Months of planning for business visits, cultural activities and special dinners were re-set from Bangkok to Hong Kong. Working together with airlines, hotels, meeting contacts and ground services the program was able to continue to fulfill its mission of globalizing the EMBA curricula with minimal change fees imposed by the airlines.

  Accent Called upon to Assist Families of Americans Wounded in Mumbai Bombings
Bala Cynwyd, PA, December 30, 2008 – Last month The Accent Group was called to assist the Ragsdale and Lopez families of Nashville, TN, whose lives were forever changed. Traveling to India on a peaceful retreat, Mrs. Ragsdale & Mrs. Lopez were caught in the tragic shootings of November 27, 2008.

May 2008: WorldStrides Acquires Accent Group
Charlottesville, VA, May , 2008 – WorldStrides, an accredited supplemental education school offering educational student travel programs in history, science, and the arts to middle- and high-school groups, has acquired Accent Group, the United States’ leading provider of international study programs for graduate and undergraduate business students.
